Chasseur France
1924
The history of Chasseur begins in the belle époque, at the very center of the Ardennes.
Or, more accurately, in 1924, when the principal metallurgical center, the Meuse Valley, welcomed the Invicta foundry. Fernand Sueur founded the enterprise, which stayed in the family for almost nine decades. Since the inception, the production sites have been in Vivier-au-court and Donchery.
A century of expertise
Sanitary fixtures and sinks were the foundry's initial products. Cast-iron furniture, tables, parasol bases, trivets, fireplaces and fireplace inserts, barbecues, wood stoves, and casseroles were among the new product families that started to appear throughout the 20th century. These were initially marketed under the Invicta brand and later under the Chasseur name.
Located in Donchery, a few kilometers from the foundry, is the enamel plant.
Even now, every single Chasseur casseroles is still painted by hand.
